David Landau is a Delaware County native, raised in Havertown and a graduate of Haverford high school. He has lived in Wallingford with his family for 22 years. He is an attorney and currently a senior partner at the Philadelphia law firm of Wolf, Block, Schorr and Solis-Cohen, LLP. He represents clients from entrepreneurs to fortune 100 companies in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, concentrating primarily on intellectual property and employment litigation. He has extensive trial experience in his 28 years of practicing law.

David has a long history of public service, including Solicitor for the Borough of Yeadon in Delaware County from 1992-1998 and special counsel to Nether Providence Township as well as counsel to the Nether Providence Civil Service Commission. He has handled numerous zoning matters, building code issues, public employee labor disputes and has prosecuted dozens of local criminal law violations. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Family and Community Service of Delaware County since 2003. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Delaware County as well as Congregational Oheu Shalom in Wallingford.

David has been active in politics for many, many years. Recently, he served as an advisor to Congressman Joe Sestak’s campaign. He began his political career as a deputy campaign manager and issues director for Senator Gary Hart’s presidential campaign in 1984. In 1988, he was the Democratic nominee for the United States Congress, running against Curt Weldon for the seventh district seat. Since 1991 he has been Chairman of the Nether Providence Democratic Committee. Under his leadership, Nether Providence Democratic Party has won many elections. Today, the Democrats hold the majority on the Board of Commissioners for Nether Providence Township as well as the Wallingford-Swarthmore School Board. For the last 12 years, a Democrat has held the position of Magisterial District Judge for Media, Swarthmore and Nether Providence. Over the years, David has worked in many capacities in campaigns on the local, state and federal level, including the campaigns of Governor Rendell, Senator Casey, President Clinton, Vice-President Gore and Senator John Kerry.
